Children, Church and Community
A 3-Day Intensive Training


In a high energy; often humorous; highly interactive setting you will
examine the five styles of handling conflict, active listening, effective
communication, mediation, problem solving, and other conflict resolution
skills. Additionally specific skills for children, church and community will be
presented.  You will receive a Certificate of Completion in accordance
with California Dispute Resolution Act of 1986.

Kids First invites churches, temples and other places of worship to
host:

  • Anger Management for School-age Children


  • Understanding the Developmental Assets for My Child
Just for churches

Kids First is committed to helping to resolve conflict peacefully in our
community.  We believe one strategy is to have local churches establish
Conflict Resolution ministries.  If a church is willing to send two adults to
this training, Kids First will
  1. provide a one-day training for other volunteers, including youth
  2. provide the structure for the ministry
  3. provide the necessary forms  
  4. and provide additional assistance one ministry is established
